Hydraulic Motors
The hydraulic motor
is a converter of oil pressure and flow into torque and speed respectively
at the output shaft.
In this design of
motor a rotary commutator valve is used to feed oil to fluid chambers
in such a way that an in-built speed reduction and torque multiplication
is achieved in a compact manner.
The motor although
dimensionally small is capable of providing considerable power over a
wide speed range and is reversible by simply the direction of the hydraulic
fluid flow.
